The 3rd International Conference on Challenges for the NEXT generation BUILT Environment (NEXTBUILT 2026) will take place on June 4-5, 2026 in Bologna (IT).
This NEXTBUILT edition particularly calls for insightful contributions that discuss policies, trends, strategies, methodologies, design approaches and technologies to tackle future needs by overcoming business-as-usual models. Ranging from tangible to intangible means, the Conference seeks contributions in four key topics to sharing lessons learned, inspirations, and pathways for the NEXT generation of housing.
TOPIC 1 – Room for housing: reflecting on affordability, equity and resilience
TOPIC 2 – Livability, comfort and health: reflecting on the nature of the built environment
TOPIC 3 – Process workflow and services: reflecting on innovation in the building sector
TOPIC 4 – Materials without borders: reflecting on reuse and impacts
