European Partnership for Clean Energy Transition: New Homepage and Call Launch!

Discover the European Clean Energy Transition Partnership on the new website, which offers informations about the partnerhsip, interesting news and events. The FIRST Call for proposals will launch in September 2022. Therefore, an informative CETPartnership Call Launch Event Webinar for potential applicants will take place on the 13th of September 2022. The European Partnership for Clean Energy Transition is a transformative R&I program across Europe. This enables joint R&I programs at regional, national and global levels, which are jointly supported by industry, public organisations, research and civil organisations.

Solar Decathlon: How can sustainable urban housing and living work?

Under the motto “Design - Build - Operate”, university teams from all over the world came together to compete in an urban contest for sustainable building. In addition to an overall design for a building project, the participants have constructed characteristic building parts in original size on the Solar Campus in Wuppertal - impressing and inspiring more than 115,000 visitors.

SET-Plan Conference in Prague

The annual Set-Plan Conference brings together high-level speakers, policymakers, industry, researchers, academia and the general public, focusing on important energy-related topics. At the SET-Plan conference in Prague on November 9-10, IWG 5 will present its work results and goals. The working group will provide insight into the topic of energy efficiency in buildings and present outstanding regional, national or EU projects that implement the goals and topics of the IWG 5 Implementation Plan.

 

The Finals of the Solar Decathlon Europe 21/22 will take place in Wuppertal

On the Solar Campus in Wuppertal 18 building models and concepts will soon become reality. As fully functional houses, they will form the centerpiece of the finals of the European university competition for urban building in June 2022. The student teams will be able to present their projects in a public exhibition and compete against each other. The event site is open to visitors for eleven days: 10 to 12 June, 16 to 19 June and 22 to 26 June 2022.

The European Commission announces 100 cities participating in EU Mission for climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030

The European Commission has announced the 100 EU cities that will take part in the Cities Mission. The Cities Mission is the EU mission for 200 climate-neutral and smart cities by 2030, which includes 100 cities from all 27 member states and 12 cities from other associated countries. Clean mobility, energy efficiency and green urban planning will be addressed by the research and innovation actions. New European Bauhaus: Five lighthouse projects were selected for financial support

On May 4th, the Commission announced the five selected projects for the 25 million euro call for the development of "lighthouse demonstrators" of the New European Bauhaus (NEB). Funding will be used by projects to delve deeper into issues such as building renovation, circularity, arts, cultural heritage, education, smart cities, and urban and rural regeneration.

 

Kick-off meeting for cross-cooperation

In October 2021, the EC initiated a process of cross-cooperation between SET Plan Implementation Working Groups to enhance the collaboration between the 14 IWGs of the SET Plan and to facilitate the energy system integration. At the kick-off meeting on 8.3.2022, three parallel sessions were held.

 

IWG5 cooperates with Built4People partnership

To establish cooperation with the SET-Plan States, the Built4People (B4P) partnership works together with the SET-Plan Implementation Working Group on Energy Efficiency in Buildings (IWG5).
